Translating Aerospace Engineering into A Digital Experience

VÆRIDION partnered with Framework Films to transform its digital presence ahead of a pivotal Series B fundraising round. Building on an initial brand and animation phase, we developed a fully bespoke website experience that translates complex electric aviation technology into a clear, compelling narrative for investors, partners, and global audiences.

Through a motion-first design approach, we integrated high-fidelity 3D animation, interactive scroll behavior, and a refined brand system into a seamless digital platform and custom WordPress build. The result is a scalable, performance-optimized website that elevates VÆRIDION’s credibility, strengthens stakeholder alignment, and positions the company as a leader in next-generation electric aviation.

CHALLENGE

VÆRIDION’s existing website no longer reflected the scale or ambition of the company. Built as a single-page experience, it lacked the structure, flexibility, and visual sophistication required to communicate a complex aviation product to investors and strategic partners.

The brand itself felt fragmented, with inconsistent visual language and limited cohesion across touchpoints. As the company approached its Series B fundraising round, it needed a digital presence that could clearly articulate its technology, showcase its product innovation, and instill confidence at a global level.

Our challenge was to design and develop a fully custom website platform that balanced clarity with innovation. We were tasked with delivering a premium, motion-driven experience optimized for performance, scalability, and mobile-first user engagement.

DISCOVERY

To ensure the website effectively reflected VÆRIDION’s ambition, we began with an in-depth discovery phase. We conducted stakeholder reviews, a focused brand audit, and a concise competitor analysis to identify gaps in positioning, visual consistency, and digital experience.

These insights informed a clear strategic direction as we aligned brand, storytelling, and user experience to support investor-facing communication and long-term growth.

MOTION AS A BRAND SYSTEM
INTERACTIVE PRODUCT STORYTELLING

We developed a motion-driven system that transforms user scroll into interactive storytelling. Leveraging GSAP and optimized PNG sequences from Phase One’s 3D CAD animations, we created a cinematic 180-degree rotation of the Microliner on the homepage, allowing users to explore the product in motion while preserving transparency for layered UI and SEO-indexable content. We also introduced scroll-triggered tooltip reveals, enabling users to engage with key technical features through intuitive interaction.

Together, these systems establish a scalable framework for future expansion, allowing VÆRIDION to evolve its digital storytelling as the product and brand grow.

Where Motion Meets Product Clarity:

  • Scroll-Driven Interaction - UI transforms scroll into a responsive product experience.

  • Layered UI + SEO Strategy: Transparent PNG sequences preserve fully indexable text.

  • Scalable Motion Framework - Modular system designed to scale across products & features.

FROM WIREFRAME TO INTERACTIVE PROTOTYPE
PRECISION DESIGN FOR STAKEHOLDER CONFIDENCE

To ensure alignment before development, we established a structured design workflow that moved from rapid wireframing to fully interactive prototyping. Initial black-and-white wireframes served as a strategic foundation, mapping user journeys, content hierarchy, and overall site architecture.

From there, we translated these concepts into a high-fidelity Figma environment, building a complete, clickable website prototype that reflected the final design, motion intent, and user experience. This allowed VÆRIDION’s leadership team, including executive and technical stakeholders, to engage directly with the product before development.

Through multiple review cycles, we refined layouts, UI components, and interaction patterns, formalizing a cohesive design system that guided every aspect of the build. By securing approval at each milestone, we eliminated ambiguity and ensured a seamless transition into development, resulting in a confident, efficient, and fully aligned website build.

This video should outline the Black and White Wireframe, Asset Grid, Figma Enviro, Josh’s Figma Design BTS Video Process, as well as the final screen recording of the website mockup within Figma.

CRAFTING THE DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
BRIDGING CREATIVE AND TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT

With design fully validated, we transitioned into development with a focus on precision, flexibility, and long-term scalability. The website was built entirely from the ground up in WordPress, fully bespoke, with no reliance on templates, ensuring complete control over performance, design fidelity, and future extensibility.

We developed custom solutions to integrate VÆRIDION’s careers pipeline, including an XML-driven system that dynamically syncs with their Personio job board. Additional integrations included Gravity Forms, Borlabs for compliance, CRM connectivity including Salesforce, and Google Analytics for performance tracking.

On the front end, custom JavaScript and CSS-powered advanced animation systems enable seamless GSAP-driven interactions and video integration across the site. This phase bridged creative vision with technical execution, translating design intent into a high-performance, scalable platform that remains fully aligned with the brand at every touchpoint.

This video should show developer Coding Screens for BTS of technical process.

VERTICAL-FIRST EXPERIENCE DESIGN

From the start, mobile viewing shaped every design and development decision. With the majority of VÆRIDION’s audience engaging on smartphones, we prioritized vertical composition, performance, and interaction at every stage. From responsive layouts to scroll-optimized motion systems, the experience was built to feel native on mobile.

The result is a refined, high-performance interface that preserves cinematic storytelling while delivering clarity, usability, and visual impact across devices.
